JCself is free. You need a Windows computer with Java.

Installation

  1. Install the free Java Runtime Environment if you don't have it yet.
  2. Unpack jcself.zip.
  3. Copy the folder PHS to drive C:.
  4. Start JCself by double-clicking jcself.bat in the PHS folder.

Different location

If the PHS folder is not directly on C:, open jcself.bat in a text editor and change this line to the actual path:

set TopUi=c:\PHS\jcself.jar

Terms of use

JCself is freeware but licensed. The licence allows private use on up to five computers and use in sound installations and music productions. Copies are allowed for backup only and must not be passed on to third parties. Details under Licence.
